Mandela Partners’ Culinary Employment Pathways program is a paid culinary training program that connects residents facing barriers to employment with food jobs with a living wage, a supportive work environment, and personal growth opportunities.
Join us in raising $20,000 for our Microgreens Fund, which supports program participants with a small grant of up to $600 that they can use towards key needs such as car repairs, medical or legal bills, and housing.

Since starting up in 2020, our Culinary Employment Pathways program has:
-
Worked with nearly 100 participants, roughly half of who face barriers to employment after returning home from incarceration
-
Paid more than $250,000 in wages; since 2022 we’ve provided $10,000 in grants
-
Partnered with 38 East Bay food businesses for paid internship placement.
Thank you for supporting community members building new careers in the food sector!
